If you’re high or buzzed, you shouldn’t be behind the wheel. Period.
Even in states where weed is legal, it’s still against the law to drive any vehicle,
tractors included, under the influence.
In Illinois, a DUI is taken super seriously and it’s actually considered a violent crime.
Once it’s on your record, it never comes off.
So yeah, the risks aren’t worth it.

-
Crash at a friend’s place – if you’re not sober, just stay over.
-
Get a ride – call an Uber, Lyft, or ask a sober friend/family member.
-
Plan ahead – decide before you hang out how you’re getting home if you end up using.
-
Be the influencer – volunteer to be the sober driver for your group and keep everyone safe.

-
People will know you were partying/using — and it’s not a good look.
-
Your friends might flip out.
-
Your car can get towed or taken away. If it’s your parent’s car… yikes. That’s a whole other level of drama.
-
House arrest = ankle monitor, stuck at home.
-
Jail or prison time is possible. And if you lose your place while locked up.
-
Huge fines.
