The Community Health Worker (CHW) Section at IPHA is an unparalleled opportunity to make a tangible difference in community health.  As a member, you’ll collaborate with passionate professionals dedicated to advancing the field of Community Health Workers (CHWs), advocating for recognition, and promoting best practices. By contributing your expertise and insights, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping policies, programs, and initiatives that directly impact the well-being of individuals and communities across Illinois.  Join us in empowering CHWs, amplifying their voices, and driving positive change in public health. To join the CHW Section, you must be an IPHA member. If you work for an organization that is an Affiliate member, you may join for free under their Affiliate. If not, you still receive a discounted IPHA membership rate for being a CHW. At the end of your membership registration, where you choose areas of interest, select Community Health Worker to join the CHW Section.

IPHA’s team of expert staff provides consulting services to support organizations in the successful integration of Community Health Workers (CHWs) into healthcare, public health, and community-based settings.
